Dr. Andrew Eggers

Biography

Andrew Eggers is a political scientist whose research primarily focuses on electoral systems, corruption and accountability, and political development, particularly in the contexts of the United States, Britain, and France. He has a strong interest in research methodology and has developed innovative approaches to study these critical areas of political science. Before joining the University of Chicago, Eggers served as a Professor at the University of Oxford from 2014 to 2020. There, he was also a Professorial Fellow at Nuffield College and the Director of the Oxford QStep Centre. He previously held the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Government at the London School of Economics from 2011 to 2014. Eggers is known for his rigorous analysis and contributions to the understanding of how electoral mechanisms and political accountability relate to governance and public policy.
