Biography

Andrew Fearon is a lecturer in conservation at the University of Pennsylvania’s Stuart Weitzman School of Design and a Principal at Heritage Conservation Collective, a consulting design-build firm based in Philadelphia. He has worked in the field of conservation since 1995, encompassing architecture, decorative arts, and archaeological materials. His notable conservation projects include the restoration of Alexander Hamilton’s Bank’s wooden tympanum, the mosaic at Tiffany’s Dream Garden, the exterior finishes at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, and the exterior wood treatment of Louis Kahn’s Korman House. Andrew holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has completed ICCROM’s Wood Course in Oslo, Norway. He is an expert member and Vice President of ICOMOS' Scientific Committee, and a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation. He has been actively involved in instruction and workshops at various prestigious institutes, including the Getty Conservation Institute and the Masonry Academy, and has contributed significantly to the field through his research and publications.
