Biography

Andrew Fix is an Assistant Professor in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Building Energy Environments. Before joining UT, he was a postdoctoral faculty member at the Center for Environmental Energy Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he worked under the guidance of Professors Yunho Hwang and Rainhard Radermacher. He has been awarded several fellowships, including the U.S. Department of Energy's JUMP into STEM Competition and Innovation in Buildings Graduate Research Fellowship. Fix holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, marking a solid academic foundation for his research endeavors.
