Biography

Andrew Gellman is a Lord Professor and Co-Director at Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of Chemical Engineering. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from California Institute of Technology in 1981 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985. Gellman began his academic career as an assistant professor at the University of Illinois and joined Carnegie Mellon in 1992. Gellman has received numerous awards, including Fellowships from the American Chemical Society and AVS, and has been recognized for his significant contributions to the advancement of surface chemistry.
