Biography

Andrew Gundlach is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia Business School in the Business Finance Division, where he teaches investment management courses such as the Seminar on Wealth Management: Investing for Family Offices, Endowments, and Foundations. He has a wealth of experience in investment management, having served as president and CEO of Bleichroeder LLC, an investment management firm that focuses on ultra high-net-worth families. Prior to his current role, he held various positions at JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley in Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance. Mr. Gundlach has a strong educational background with a B.S. and M.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He has also been involved with various organizations, serving on boards and committees, such as Welltower, and he has chaired the investment committee for Axa Art. In 2025, he will be awarded the Horton Award for Excellence in Social Enterprise from Columbia Business School, recognizing his leadership role in the community and support for executive education programs at New York City's cultural institutions.
