Biography

Professor Andrew Lynch is the Dean of the Law & Justice School at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He has held various leadership roles including Head of School and Deputy Dean. His research primarily focuses on Australian constitutional law, delving into topics such as federalism, judicial dissent, judicial appointments, and legal responses to terrorism. He also edited notable works such as 'Counter-Terrorism Culture Law Justice 9/11' (2010) and 'Tomorrow’s Federation: Reforming Australian Government' (2012). From 2008 to 2013, he served as the Director of the Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law and remains engaged with research initiatives at the Centre. Furthermore, he is a member of the Council of the Australasian Institute of Judicial Administration and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law.
