Biography

Andrew Martin is a professor in Energy Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, with decades of experience in the field. His research interests lie in biomass, membrane distillation, polygeneration, and solar energy, which are critical to sustainable development. He has been involved in a wide range of applied research projects that address issues such as large-scale cogeneration and decentralized renewable-based polygeneration in rural locations, as well as water purification and industrial wastewater treatment. He coordinated the H2020 BRISK2 project and has supervised the graduation of 15 PhD students. His academic qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, where he earned his doctorate in 1997, and he has been a faculty member at KTH since then, achieving his professorship in 2012.
