Dr. Andrew Morriss

Biography

Andrew P. Morriss is a Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law, where he has been a faculty member since July 2014. He specializes in international business transactions, international financial transactions, and regulatory analysis, particularly in energy regulation and offshore financial centers. Morriss has also held positions such as Vice President for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at the Texas A&M University School of Innovation and founding Dean of the Texas A&M University School of Law. His extensive educational background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a J.D. with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. Throughout his career, Morriss has been involved in legal education and has provided practical training for students in areas such as due diligence and legal analysis. His research emphasizes international financial regulatory issues, making him a key figure in understanding financial law. Through a progressive teaching approach, he plays a critical role in shaping the next generation of legal professionals.
