Biography

Andrew F. Peterson was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. He earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1982, 1983, and 1986, respectively. Following his education, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois until 1989. In that same year, he joined the faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where he is currently a full Professor. His teaching focuses on electromagnetic field theory, antennas, electromagnetic compatibility, and computational electromagnetics.
