Biography

Dr. Andrew Simpson is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Dalhousie University. He is a plastic reconstructive surgeon who returned to his home province of Nova Scotia after working in Ontario for five years. Dr. Simpson completed his medical school and residency training at Dalhousie University and went on to complete a research fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, followed by advanced limb reconstructive surgery training in the United Kingdom. His practice in Halifax is focused on craniofacial trauma, lower limb reconstruction, and facial surgery. Dr. Simpson has significant experience in clinical research, with specific interests in craniofacial calvarial reconstruction, facial aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, lower extremity reconstruction, and general plastic surgery. He is affiliated with the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the IWK Health Centre in Halifax.
