Biography

Andrew Taylor specializes in nineteenth-century North American literature and intellectual history, with a keen interest in the intersection of historiography and contemporary American fiction. He has engaged in various project activities, including authorship on Henry James and co-authorship on Thomas Pynchon. His written works focus on American writing culture and he has served as co-editor for notable literary collections. Taylor is currently working on an edition of Robert Louis Stevenson's novel 'Wrecker' for Edinburgh University Press, along with co-editing a book for Cambridge University Press focused on literary criticism in the 1880s. He was the principal investigator (PI) for a Leverhulme Trust funded project from 2016-2021, entitled 'The Cantos Project', which aims to produce a new digital edition of Ezra Pound's 'Cantos'.
