Dr. Andrew Teh

Biography

Clin Adj A/Prof Andrew Teh is a general cardiologist and electrophysiologist with a particular interest in the insertion and follow-up of pacemakers and implantable defibrillators, as well as the management of arrhythmias, including supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular arrhythmias. He graduated with honors from the University of Melbourne, completing his physician training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and his advanced training in cardiology at Box Hill Hospital. Dr. Teh completed a PhD in cardiac electrophysiology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, focusing on the mechanisms underlying atrial fibrillation. He has spent several years involved in research and has undergone advanced training in complex procedures at the world-renowned Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, USA. Currently, he holds staff appointments at Box Hill Hospital and Austin Hospitals, alongside academic appointments at Monash University and the University of Melbourne. Dr. Teh is heavily involved in clinical research and teaching, with numerous publications in his field. He has also received competitive research grants from the National Heart Foundation, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and fellowship funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council.
