Biography

Andrew S. Tenpas is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy. He completed his PharmD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Pharmacy in 2019. Following his graduation, he undertook a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency at UnityPoint Health in Cedar Falls, Iowa, from 2019 to 2020 and a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy from 2020 to 2021. His research interests primarily focus on advanced clinical service development sustainability, chronic care management in ambulatory care settings, inappropriate medication usage, falls risk in aged patients, and the coding, billing, and payment of pharmacy services. Outside of his research interests, he is passionate about teaching pharmacotherapy, chronic disease state management, and pharmacy education leadership. Andrew is actively involved in multiple professional organizations and has contributed to initiatives such as the ASHP Section Advisory Group on Ambulatory Care Pharmacotherapy and the ACCP Ambulatory Care PRN Mentorship Program.
