Biography

Andrew von Nordenflycht is a Professor at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University, specializing in Strategy and Business Society. He earned his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a BA from Stanford University. With over six years of experience as a software product manager and management consultant, he brings a unique perspective to his teaching and research in corporate governance. Since joining the Beedie School of Business in 2004, he has focused on the intersection of history and institutional change as they relate to corporate governance. His research interests include employee involvement in corporate governance, history of corporate ownership forms, and strategies for professional service firms. He is particularly acclaimed for his work on professional partnerships, Employee Stock Ownership Plans, and high commitment work systems within organizations. Andrew has a strong publication record, with articles appearing in esteemed journals like Organization Science and the Journal of Professions and Organization.
