Andrew Wentland, MD, PhD is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Abdominal Imaging section at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed his graduate education in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Wisconsin, where he earned both his medical doctorate and a PhD in Medical Physics. After his education, he undertook a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Stanford University and subsequently returned to UW for a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging. Dr. Wentland has authored and co-authored numerous articles in the fields of radiology and medical physics and is a junior fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. He also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the Radiology Trainee Grant Section of the Radiological Society of North America. His research lab focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in abdominal imaging.
