Dr. Andrew Whinston

Biography

Andrew Whinston is the Hugh Roy Cullen Centennial Chair in Business Administration and a Professor in the Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management at the University of Texas at Austin. He has directed the Center for Research in Electronic Commerce and has authored or co-authored 23 books and over 300 articles. His work has significantly contributed to leading journals in the field of Information Systems. Professor Whinston's recent research interests encompass electronic commerce and the economic implications of social networking, as well as informational economics and its applications in auditing. He has played a pivotal role in advancing the understanding of these areas through both his research and editorial endeavors, influencing the discourse in key Information Systems journals.
