Biography

Andrey Feuerverger is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto. His research interests encompass a variety of fields, including theoretical statistics, analytic number theory, and statistical theory. He has contributed significantly to mathematical statistics, focusing on nonparametric statistics and asymptotic methods. His work involves transform methods in statistics with applications in Fourier and wavelet analysis, as well as inference techniques in empirical characteristic functions and deconvolution problems. Feuerverger has also tackled problems in signal and image processing, consistent nonparametric testing, and spectral analysis of time series.
