Andriani is a Wellcome Trust Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Criminology, University of Oxford. Her PhD research involved a national study of immigration detention centres in Greece, where she mapped the immigration detention system and recorded the resistance mobilized therein. Her current research project explores the role and impact of health provision for people in immigration detention centres, particularly during their release in Greece. Drawing on a diverse range of evidence sources, she further examines the continuity of medical care experiences in spaces over time, tracing connections between zones of quarantine and confinement often deemed undesirable. In Greece, Andriani has been actively involved in counter-mapping activities concerning migrant containment spaces in collaboration with local civil society actors.
