Biography

Andy Haynes is a cardiovascular exercise physiologist whose research is focused on discovering methods to detect cardiovascular disease before it becomes clinically apparent, elucidating effective prevention strategies, and novel methods to treat patients with established heart disease and heart failure. He is a leading investigator on multiple projects related to cardiovascular health in humans and supervises and mentors honors and PhD students in his research area. He teaches Exercise Prescription and Nutrition in Health and Fitness and is involved in postgraduate education while serving on the editorial board of Frontiers in Physiology.
