Dr. Andy Lockett

Biography

As the Dean of Warwick Business School, Professor Andy Lockett is at the forefront of the school's mission to produce world-class, cutting-edge research in the fields of strategy and entrepreneurship. He has gained significant recognition in the academic community, being identified as one of the top 50 scholars in Technology Innovation Management and consistently voted among the world's top 100 professors in his field. Professor Lockett's career began with a PhD from the University of Nottingham and he holds a BA in Economics and an MSc in Marketing from the University of Manchester. In 2011, he was awarded a Higher Doctorate, recognizing his lifetime contribution to scholarship at the highest international levels. His commitment to excellent scholarship is matched by a passion for teaching, as evidenced by his strong relationships with students and a record of winning awards for his innovative teaching methods. Since joining WBS in 2010, he has taken on numerous administrative roles, including Dean, Head of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group, and Deputy Dean with specific responsibilities over the school's research and engagement strategies. Professor Lockett's scholarly engagement also includes active participation in editorial boards for several leading academic journals, reflecting his dedication to advancing academic practice.
