Biography

Andy Marashi, DDS, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Eastern Washington University in 1989. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in 2001. Following his dental education, Dr. Marashi completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 2002. Dr. Marashi has received several prestigious awards throughout his career, including the Charles L. Bolender Prosthetic Award and the Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities Award, both in 2001. In 2010, he received the Rothwell Distinguished Teaching Award, which is the highest recognition for innovative teaching at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Marashi is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle-King County Dental Society.
