Biography

Award-winning architectural interior designer with 25 years of industry experience in multi-disciplinary design practices, alongside the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate design disciplines through my own creative practice and research. I graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1995 with a Master's degree in Architecture Interior Design and went on to work in a range of design-focused architectural practices in London, delivering community-based projects as a civic architect in the mid-2000s. My expertise lies in drawing and design communication, using both hand-drawn and digitally driven techniques, and I am heavily engaged with innovative computer technologies that augment traditional design values across a broad range of design settings and outcomes. My research continues to explore drawing theories, construction methodologies, and material innovations as aspects of my work. I lead design studio projects for year groups in the Interior Design undergraduate programme and teach a variety of drawing and 3D design methods, utilizing both hand drawing and computer-aided design technologies at various scales and complexities.
