Biography

Andy Gean Ye is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2004, following a B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. from the same university in 1996 and 1999, respectively. His academic and research endeavors began with his graduation from the Engineering Science program in 1996. In 1999-2000, he contributed to the development of the Ultragizmo board at the University of Toronto's Undergraduate Microprocessor Laboratory. He specializes in various aspects of engineering, focusing on HDL design and application of Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). Prof. Ye has been involved in advancing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for FPGAs and logic synthesis, emphasizing hardware implementation for computer graphics algorithms, where he continues to explore innovative solutions and methodologies in the field.
