Professor Dr. Angela Bedard Haughn

Biography

Angela K. Bedard-Haughn is the Dean and a Professor at the College of Agriculture and Bioresources at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research focuses on applied pedology, particularly in the areas of soil carbon and nitrogen dynamics, wetland soils, digital soil mapping, and soil information management. Bedard-Haughn's foundational research program investigates how land use and climate change impact soil properties and processes, emphasizing the importance of high-quality, high-resolution soil information for contextualizing and scaling up laboratory and fieldwork. She leads a strong research team dedicated to advancing digital soil mapping techniques and improving soil information management practices in agriculture.
