Biography

Angela Fontan is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Decision Control Systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. She completed her B.Sc. in Information Engineering in 2013 and her M.Sc. in Automation Engineering with honors in 2016 from the University of Padova, Italy. She subsequently obtained her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Automatic Control from Linköping University, Sweden, in September 2021, under the supervision of Prof. Claudio Altafini. Dr. Fontan’s research interests lie in networked cyber-physical-human systems, nonlinear dynamics, networks, applications of social networks, and collective decision-making processes. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the same division at KTH, working with Prof. Karl Henrik Johansson, and is engaged in various projects including those in Live-in Laboratories. She has also taken on responsibilities as an examiner and teacher for the course on Automatic Control, General Course (EL1000).
