Biography

Angela Kang-Giaimo, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine specializing in General Internal Medicine. She graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine with MD and MPH degrees. She completed her residency at Yale Internal Medicine Primary Care Program, where she stayed on as Chief Resident. From 2018 to 2021, she was part of the teaching faculty at the Yale-Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program, later rejoining the Yale Faculty as an Instructor in the Department of General Internal Medicine and a member of the Program in Hospital Medicine. Her academic interests include residency career coaching, student professional identity formation, point-of-care ultrasound, and the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension. Kang-Giaimo is also a co-founder of an NGO in the Dominican Republic that focuses on community health and capacity building for community health workers. She serves as the co-medical director of the HAVEN Free Clinic, a student-run clinic at Yale.
