Dr. Angelica Gonzalez

Biography

Angelica Gonzalez is a Professor of Finance at the University of Edinburgh Business School. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of York. Previously, she worked as an advisor for the Mexican Budget Commission in the Chamber of Deputies. In her role at the Business School, Angelica teaches Statistics and Econometrics across a range of postgraduate programmes. Her research specializes in corporate governance, focusing particularly on the impact of gender and ethnic diversity on corporate boards. She actively engages with the investment industry, lending her expertise to foster greater diversity within the sector. Angelica maintains a keen interest in corporate social responsibility, and her work has been published in prestigious international, peer-reviewed journals. She is also a frequent presenter at international conferences. Her work on CEO risk-taking incentives was recognized with a Paper Award at the 2019 FMA Conference held in Jerusalem, Israel.
