Dr. Angelos Tsoukalas

Biography

Angelos Tsoukalas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Technology and Operations Management at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research interests focus on optimization applications, particularly in revenue management within the maritime sector. Tsoukalas has conducted methodological work in various subfields of optimization, including global optimization, bi-level programming, and robust optimization. His published research appears in prestigious academic journals such as Operations Research and the SIAM Journal on Optimization. Prior to joining RSM, he served as a faculty member at the American University of Beirut and held postdoctoral appointments at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Furthermore, Tsoukalas gained industry experience as a Data Scientist in the maritime sector.
