Biography

Professor Angus Turner is a Western Australian ophthalmologist and founder of Lions Outback Vision, with completed medical training at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and a Master's in Evidence Based Medicine from Oxford University. He has held positions such as Visiting Fellowship at Frontier Hospital in South Africa and Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne's School of Population Health. Notably, he delivered the Fred Hollows Lecture at the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists annual congress in 2018. His research includes significant collaborations and grants aimed at improving early detection of eye diseases using AI technologies.
