Biography

Anh Pham is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Hanoi University of Technology, Vietnam, followed by a Master of Applied Science and a Doctorate in Civil Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Before his current position, he was an Assistant Professor at Carleton University and a Postdoctoral Associate at Duke University. His research group applies principles of aquatic chemistry and geochemistry and employs analytical chemistry tools to investigate the fate and transformation of contaminants. Currently, his research focus is on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
