Biography

Anil Maheshwari received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences and his Ph.D. from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in India. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Computer Science in Saarbrücken, Germany, from 1993 to 1994 and worked as a Research Associate at Carleton from 1994 to 1995. He joined the School of Computer Science at Carleton University as an Assistant Professor in 1996 and was promoted to Professor in 2007. His research focuses on algorithm design particularly in relation to computational geometry, discrete mathematics, and data science.
