Biography

Aniruddha Datta is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University. He serves as the Co-Director of Graduate Programs and holds the J.W. Runyon, Jr. '35 Professorship. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Southern California in 1991, and an M.S.E.E. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1987. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, where he received a B.Tech (Hons.) in Electrical Engineering in 1985. Dr. Datta has had significant involvement with the National Science Foundation as a panelist and has held leadership roles in several IEEE conferences related to Genomic Signal Processing and Control Systems. He has contributed to the field through various editorial positions and is recognized as a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since 2009.
