Biography

Anisoara Calinescu joined the Oxford University Computing Laboratory, which is now part of the Department of Computer Science, in September 2002. Before that, from April 1996 to August 2002, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Oxford Manufacturing Research Group within the Engineering Science Department at Oxford University. Currently, she is an Official Fellow focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Reuben College. Additionally, she serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the University of Oxford. In October 2021, she became a Turing Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute in London. Her research activities encompass agent-based financial modeling and software engineering among other themes.
