Dr. Anita Mcgahan

Biography

Anita McGahan is a University Professor at the Rotman School of Management, holding the George E. Connell Chair in Organizations and Society. Her research focuses on private entrepreneurship and public interest, particularly in areas such as global health and the diffusion of knowledge across international boundaries. McGahan has contributed extensively to the understanding of industry change and sustainable competitive advantage, as well as the establishment of new fields of research. She earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in Business Economics, along with an M.B.A. from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Humanities from Northwestern University. At the Rotman School, McGahan teaches sustainability in a business context, helping students integrate environmentally sound practices into business strategy. Her work extends into various topics including business ethics, corporate governance, economic development, and organizational design.
