Dr. Anita Sharif Hyder

Biography

Anita Sharif-Hyder is an experienced higher education leader with 25 years in student affairs, academic administration, global education, and leadership development. She currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and Student Life at Yale School of Management, where she provides strategic leadership and oversight for a variety of student services and academic support programs. Anita's responsibilities include shaping the holistic and inclusive student experience for MBA, Master of Advanced Management, and Master of Management Studies students. Her portfolio encompasses academic advising, student life programming, curriculum coordination, mental health initiatives, crisis management, and tutoring services, while also engaging students in government and overseeing global study requirements. She leads significant institutional initiatives and plays an integral role in maintaining the School of Management's culture of academic integrity. Formerly, Anita was the Senior Associate Director at Yale’s University-Wide Committee on Sexual Misconduct, where she managed complex case processes and served as the university's primary liaison. With a background that spans various roles in education, including leadership development and intercultural advising, Anita holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Towson State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Syracuse University. Furthermore, she is recognized for her collaborative leadership style and her active involvement in the civic and cultural life of the Yale community.
