Biography

Anita Woods is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Western University. She completed her BSc Honors in Genetics at Western University and went on to earn a PhD in Skeletal Physiology from the same institution. Throughout her academic career, Anita has developed a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students. During her graduate studies, she discovered a love for teaching and has since focused on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for her students. Anita teaches a variety of courses including Introduction to Human Physiology, Integration of Physiology and Pharmacology, and Human Pharmacology Therapeutics Principles. She enjoys helping students build confidence in their abilities and encourages them to find joy in their learning. Outside her academic life, Anita has interests in baking, spending time with family, and enjoying nature walks.
