Dr. Anjali Pathmanathan

Biography

Anjali Pathmanathan is a Visiting Lecturer and Associate Research Scholar at Yale Law School, focusing her scholarship on issues related to due process within the criminal legal system. Her extensive legal experience includes serving as Senior Appellate Counsel at the Center for Appellate Litigation, where she represented incarcerated individuals in direct appeals and post-conviction claims in New York State courts. Previously, she worked as a Program Associate at the Center for Immigration & Justice at the Vera Institute of Justice and as a Staff Attorney at the Criminal Defense Practice of the Legal Aid Society in New York. Anjali's teaching experience includes positions as Assistant Professor of Legal Writing at St. John's University School of Law and Adjunct Professor of Clinical Law at Brooklyn Law School. Her published work appears in several legal journals, including the Georgia Criminal Law Review and the International Criminal Law Review.
