Dr. Anju Paudel

Biography

Dr. Anju Paudel is an Assistant Professor at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing, specializing in Nursing and Gerontology. She holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and a Master's degree in Gerontological Studies from Miami University. Her research primarily focuses on enhancing caregiver efficacy in dementia care and involves the development and testing of nonpharmacological interventions. She has a strong background in long-term care research with an emphasis on promoting positive interactions between staff and residents with dementia. Dr. Paudel's ongoing projects explore the factors influencing staff-resident interactions and the efficacy of behavioral educational interventions in optimizing care outcomes. She has presented her research at various conferences, including the Gerontological Society of America Annual Scientific Meeting, and has received numerous honors, including the Outstanding Doctor Philosophy Graduate award in 2021. An advocate for nursing education, Dr. Paudel teaches courses at both the Master's and Doctoral levels and is involved in mentoring students in their academic and clinical pursuits.
