Biography

Ann-Sophie Lindqvist Bagge earned her PhD in 2004 with a preclinical dissertation examining the effects of anabolic androgenic steroids on behavior and the monoaminergic system. In 2017, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor and currently holds a position as Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology at the Department of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg. She became a licensed psychologist in 2011 and is a certified specialist in psychological treatment and psychotherapy for addiction psychology. Her clinical experience is broad, encompassing work in forensic psychiatry, occupational health services, and specialized psychiatric care. She serves as an expert consultant in areas related to psychological treatment and health psychology research. As course coordinator, she oversees advanced-level courses in health psychology and addiction psychology, supervises students, and serves as an examiner. In 2024, she is expected to be appointed as an Excellent Teacher at the University of Gothenburg. Her ongoing research focuses on the connection between somatic and mental health and involves collaboration with colleagues at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and other key institutions.
