Biography

Ann-Sophie Sallander is an Associate Professor at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in public law. Her research focuses on society's preparedness for learning from accidents, with a particular emphasis on the transport of dangerous goods. She collaborates closely with public authorities and private actors in the transport sector to enhance safety measures. Sallander has published works such as 'Safety Adviser Dangerous Goods Transport - Key Increased Safety' and has contributed to significant projects addressing the safety of dangerous goods transport. She defended her thesis on mutual agreements according to tax treaties in 2013 and has authored books and articles analyzing tax treaty applications. Her interdisciplinary approach combines public law with international tax law and European Union law, addressing the complexities of legal sources and the challenges posed by international regulations. Currently, her research includes various EU-funded projects aimed at understanding and improving safety in the transport of hazardous materials, thereby fostering a proactive approach to societal challenges.
