Biography

Associate Professor Ann Bye is a Conjoint Associate Professor in the Discipline of Paediatrics within the School of Women's & Children's Health at the University of New South Wales. She serves as a Senior Paediatric Neurologist and Departmental Head at Sydney Children’s Hospital. Dr. Bye has made significant contributions to the field of pediatric neurology with over 90 original research articles and more than 100 abstracts published in both national and international peer-reviewed journals. She has been recognized with numerous awards for her teaching and contributions to the field, including the 2021 Early Career Researcher Award from Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and various grants aimed at enhancing the quality of care and educational resources for pediatric epilepsy. Over the years, Dr. Bye has demonstrated a strong commitment to medical education, supervising numerous medical students and residents, and actively participating in outreach programs to improve the understanding of epilepsy among caregivers and healthcare providers.
