Biography

Ann Pegoraro is a Full Professor and holds the Lang Chair in Sport Management at the University of Guelph. She is the Director of the International Institute for Sport Business Leadership and co-Director of the National Network for Research on Gender Equity in Canadian Sport. Pegoraro has extensive experience in the sport industry, focusing her research on sport consumers, marketing communication, and the media's role in establishing connections between consumers and sports, ranging from amateur to professional levels. Her work has been published in notable journals such as Sex Roles, Communication & Sport, and the Journal of Sport Management. Recently, her research interests have shifted towards digital media innovation, analytics, and gender diversity within sport. Pegoraro's commitment to applied research and partnership development reflects her dedication to advancing knowledge in sport management and promoting gender equity in sports.
