Dr. Ann Silverberg

Biography

Ann Silverberg is a lecturer in City and Regional Planning with 25 years of experience in affordable, mixed-income, mixed-use development finance. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Related California’s Northern California Affordable Division, overseeing the strategic direction and daily operations of the company’s affordable housing portfolio in Northern California and Oregon. Previously, she was the Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at BRIDGE Housing Corporation, where she directed the Northern California Division and led the development of over 8,000 affordable, mixed-income, and mixed-use transit-oriented housing units. Additionally, Ms. Silverberg played a significant role in the acquisition and redevelopment of more than 1,000 public housing units in San Francisco and Sacramento. She has been responsible for capital aggregation, equity, and debt financing for various Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and non-LIHTC developments, successfully negotiating project-level debt and equity placements totaling $2 billion. Ms. Silverberg holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a recipient of the 2019 Northern California Real Estate Women Influence Award and serves on the Board of Directors for multiple organizations within the affordable housing sector.
