Dr. Ann Tarca

Biography

Ann Tarca is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Western Australia, specializing in financial reporting standards and regulations. With over 25 years of teaching experience, she has spent 20 years at UWA, where she has focused on enhancing teaching and learning practices. Ann was an Academic Fellow with the IFRS Foundation Education Initiative in London from 2011 to 2012. She is well-known for her work as a lead author of the textbook 'Accounting Theory' and has contributed extensively to reputable international journals. Ann serves on the editorial boards of various journals and is an active member of the international academic community, holding positions in several esteemed associations including the European Accounting Association. Her research delves into the impact of international accounting standards, and she has been involved in several funded projects on related topics.
