Dr. Anna Castelnovo

Biography

Anna Castelnovo currently serves as a Senior Physician Clinical Researcher at Ospedale Civico di Lugano and Ospedale Regionale di Bellinzona e Valli. She completed her medical studies at the University of Milan in 2011 and subsequently underwent specialized training in psychiatry. From 2014 to 2015, she further honed her expertise in neurophysiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, Anna trained as a cognitive psychotherapist at Studi Cognitivi in Milan and became a certified sleep specialist in Lugano. Her clinical research interests primarily focus on sleep disorders, including chronic insomnia, parasomnias, and hypersomnias, as well as the broader relationship between sleep disturbances and psychiatric conditions. Dr. Castelnovo has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to several book chapters.
