Biography

Anna Chatterton is a writer and theatre artist known for her impactful works within the Canadian theatre landscape. She is a two-time finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award in Drama and has authored multiple published plays, including 'Quiver Cowgirl,' which received the City of Hamilton Arts Award and a nomination for the Toronto Theatre Critics Award. Chatterton’s productions have been recognized with five Dora Mavor Moore Awards, including the Outstanding Production award in 2018 for her opera work. Her most recent librettist work, produced in collaboration, has earned accolades such as the LA Independent Women Film Award for 'Best Narrative Feature.' She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Guelph and plays an integral role in supporting emerging writers through her position as Writer-in-Residence at Western University.
