Biography

Anna Clemente is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the London School of Economics, focusing on Political Social Sciences. She earned her PhD from the European University Institute and holds an MPhil from the University of Oxford. Anna has also been a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University under the Fulbright Program and has conducted research at the Connected Politics Lab at University College Dublin. Her research interests include the origins and persistence of meritocratic beliefs, citizens’ attitudes, and the dynamics of political discourse, utilizing experimental methods and computational text analysis. She has engaged in studies on demand redistribution, the effects of inequality on housing narratives, and the role of political cues through survey lab experiments. Anna teaches GV101: Introduction to Political Science at LSE. She is fluent in Italian and Spanish.
