Biography

Professor Anna Garnett's research program focuses on the care of older adults living with chronic diseases and their caregivers. Her research is informed by a health equity lens, emphasizing equitable access to and delivery of support and services for the health and well-being of vulnerable older adults and their families. This includes the use of digital approaches to enhance care delivery and support the physical, social, and relational well-being of older adults and their family members. Professor Garnett's research explores health system issues and the development of evidence-informed strategies to promote the recruitment and retention of health providers working in older adult care contexts. With a clinical background in community palliative nursing, she has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She teaches undergraduate and graduate programs with focus on digital health and leadership management.
