Biography

Anna Greenshields completed her PhD with a MITACS fellowship at Dalhousie University, followed by a clinical ASHI fellowship at the Halifax HLA laboratory, where she became a certified HLA laboratory director specializing in solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Currently, she serves as the Assistant Director of the Halifax HLA Laboratory at Nova Scotia Health and holds an Assistant Professorship in the Department of Pathology at Dalhousie University. Her research focuses on histocompatibility, solid organ transplantation, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, assay optimization, HLA typing, and antibody testing in the realm of transplant immunology. Over her career, she has contributed extensively to the field through various publications and is recognized for her expertise in immunogenetics and the development of innovative testing methodologies.
