Biography

Dr. Anna Ignaszak is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Brock University. She holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering, with her academic journey beginning in Poland at the Poznan University of Technology and AGH University of Science and Technology. Dr. Ignaszak's research focuses on advanced electrochemical technologies, particularly in clean energy applications such as hydrogen-powered fuel cells and electrochemical diagnostics for disease detection. She has collaborated with leading experts and institutions, including work at the University of British Columbia, National Research Council Canada, and Friedrich-Schiller University Jena in Germany. Throughout her career, Dr. Ignaszak has received numerous national and international awards for her contributions to electrochemistry, including recognitions from the Canadian Space Agency for her work on detecting cancer biomarkers.
